The Chair of Business Administration, especially Financial Services - often referred to as "FiDL" - at the Faculty of Business and Economics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf deals with the market services, structures and management of financial intermediaries. The focus in teaching and studying is on banks and insurance companies, but other financial intermediaries are also considered. This integrative orientation is largely unique in the German-speaking world. In research, we also deal with the interaction of financial markets and financial services, i.e. we take a somewhat broader perspective. This allows us not only to examine structural change in the financial services industry, but also to look at current developments in the financial markets.
